Welcome to the 1st ever firearms and fitness competition to be hosted online, presented by WODdoc Tactical in partnership with The Tactical Games. This is our chance to bring the experience of fitness based competitive shooting home to you. No doubt you have seen the excitement and growth around this new sport. Now is the time to get in on the action from the comfort of your home range. 

Here is how it works!

Each Thursday starting on January 13th at 8PM EST and lasting through Jan 31st a firearms and fitness workout will be released here on this site. Registered athletes will have until the following Monday at 8PM EST to complete, film and submit the workout for validation. If you are familiar with the functional fitness space this is a similar structure to the crossfit open. 

Each week we will award the the best male and female scores of that weeks workout. At the end of 3 weeks a grand prize award will be presented to the best overall male and female athlete.

FAQ's  

 

Q: How do I register? 

A: Visit WODdocTactical.com and click on the event link located on the home page. Athletes will have the ability to register for a single week or all 3. There will be weekly workout winners plus a grand prize winner. To be eligible for grand prize must compete in all 3 weeks. 

 

Q: How Much Space do I need?

A: 50yr single bay or back yard range that is 50 yards long x 5 yards wide 

Q: What are max shooting distances?

A: 25 yrds pistol, 50 yards rifle.

 

Q: How much does it cost?

A: 12$ per week / 30$ entire event. 

 

Q: What equipment do I need?

A: Firearms equipment needed:

  • Pistol 9mm/40cal - NO RED DOTS ALLOWED

  • Rifle 223/556

  • Recommended 4 magazines for both. 

  • Ear + Eye protection. 

  • **NO WEIGHT VEST 

  • **NO BELT/HOLSTER

  • No firearms will be retained on person during the fitness portion of workouts.

Fitness equipment needed: 

  • 1 pair of 50 pound dumbbells men / 35 pound dumbbells women

 

Q: How much ammo do I need:

A: Max ammo is 200 or less rifle, 200 or less pistol. 

Q: How many divisions are there?

A: 1 male / 1 female division. There will be no age group separation. 

 

Q: Do I need to compete in all 3 weeks of competition?

A: No, you may compete however many weeks you like.  Each week will have a weekly winner for both male and female. A grand prize winner will be awarded for the best overall score for the entire event. You must compete in all 3 weeks to be eligible for the grand prize. 

 

Q: When/Where will workouts be announced?

A: Workouts will be announced on January 13th, 20th, 27th and official rules will be posted on the event page of WODdocTactical.com. The structure will work similarly to a crossfit open style event where each Thursday an event will be announced and athletes will have until the following monday January 17th, 24th, 31st at 8PM EST to submit their scores. Scores must be submitted by the deadline of each will to be counted. 

 

Q: How do I submit my scores?

A: To submit scores athletes must complete the workout as described and video it as directed in the official workout rules released with each event. Athletes must upload their video to YouTube and submit the video URL to the “submissions” section of WODdocTactical.com website (top right corner of homepage) at or before deadline to be validated. Once validated  athletes score will be posted to the official scoreboard of the event on WODdocTactical.com
